Have you ever heard the saying that reflects how people talk about their humble beginnings before reaching success?
"Everyone claims they started from the bottom—well, show me the bottom. Show me where you truly began."
Whether you're striving to achieve a goal, starting a business, writing a book, or attending school—especially when you're pursuing something that feels bigger than yourself—roadblocks are going to be a part of your journey. Listen, friend, one thing's for sure: life can hit hard sometimes with unexpected challenges. But how you handle those tough moments will shape you into a more resilient and wiser version of yourself.
When you're going through challenging seasons, take it as just that—a challenge. The way you approach difficulties matters. Instead of feeling defeated, ask yourself: What do I need to do next? How do I need to posture myself? Never give in to defeat, no matter how tempting it may feel. This is a crucial time to strengthen your relationship with God. Lean on Him, depend on Him, and trust Him for everything. Your current circumstances should never dictate the bond you have with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—let nothing break that connection.
That "bottom" isn't going to feel good, and it won't be comfortable. But when you understand that you're destined for greater things, you'll see that this current, uncomfortable season is only temporary. If you're going through a rough patch, remember this: the bottom is only a stepping stone to the top. The hardships you’re facing are shaping you for something greater. Don’t stop now—you’ve come too far to give up!
Imagine what happens if you throw in the towel. You may never see the breakthrough, the growth, the success that was waiting for you on the other side of this challenge. You didn't come this far to stop now. You are too close to fulfilling your purpose.
Let this be a reminder that if you are in a season of frustration, feeling like giving up, hold on to these words from James 1:2-4:"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
So, don't stop. Your breakthrough could be just around the corner, and when you get to the top, you'll look back at the bottom and understand why it was part of your story. Stay strong, keep going, and know that God is with you every step of the way!
